My Schedule

pencils.jpg (2000×1334)
I have seven classes during the day and seven paragraphs, so one paragraph per class. I will also go in order of which classes I have first and stuff. First, I go to Mr.Sutton for Advanced Math. Right now we are learning about cubes and volume and shapes and stuff. I have a C in that class, I don't even know why. It seems like everybody has at least a C in Math, but Advanced Math is hard and boring. We write a lot of notes and watch other people do the work on the board. I am always tired during math and am never awake fully that time in the morning.
3301397_orig.jpg (620×349)
After that class I have a class pretty much everyone enjoys. Core 2, Advanced Language Arts. Mrs. Morris is so fun and she is also really nice. Unlike other teachers she always thinks of interesting ways to do things. WE do projects and games, like we just finished a family tree poster. That class always goes by fats, unless you tick her off. A lot of my friends are also in that class and people are always making jokes and having fun, but working.
HP-Chromebook-14-Snow-White-hp-chromebook-notebook-400x400-imadpaeytvhcwncf-500x500-300x300.jpeg (300×300)
After that I go to Elective One, Digital Media. Actually Digital Media (dm) is where I am sitting here writing blogs. Mrs. Haggerty is my DM teacher and her room is always freezing. Everyday we watch CNN student news and write a summary and analysis. After that we use the chrome books to blog, or type, depending on where we are on our path. Sometimes the laptops are not charged or working so we have to do something else. I like DM because I can relax and focus on what I am writing.
music-notes-background-bickstock-photo3.jpg (590×299)After DM I have choir which is my second elective. Mrs.Urban is my choir teacher or conductor. I wasn't in choir last semester and each semester we have two concerts. We dress up fancy in black and white. Not only do we preform we watch the other grade level choirs sing too. Our songs for this concert are "What a Wonderful World", "Seasons of Love", and "Counting Stars", but she might add another song. We got to pick "Counting Stars" and might get to play the drums with it. We got a new student in choir today, his name is Austin and we all had to sing our names so he would know who we were.
weldd.gif (600×424)By the time choir is done we go to lunch, recess and then it is AE. We either stay outside for this class, like on Fridays or we actually have class. I am in Mr.Sutton's AE and we usually read. Sometimes we write a summary on the parts of the book we read or we learn how to organize. Today in AE we are going to work on a test we are doing in Mrs.Morris'. I like my AE because of my friends like, Piage, Baltazar, Christian, and Danny. But the day is not quite over yet.
Galapagos-Finches.jpg (800×512)After AE with Mr.Sutton I go to a very different teacher and class. I go to Mrs.Bradford for science. We do a lot of hands on activities. In that class we are currently learning about animal adaptations, like how all kinds of Galapagos finches are now different species ad how they adapt to their habitat. I almost forgot to tell you that we have a student teacher, Mr.Dagastani. He does a lot of the teaching so he can get practice for his real teaching job when he gets out of college. My final core class of the day is social studies. I have Ms.Kauffman or since she just got married, Mrs.Covert. Our class is really bad for some reason, maybe because we are all ready to go home, or maybe there are just to many friends together. We are learning about Russia and today we are going to compare the real story of Anastasia to the movie. We had to do a whole week of CMAS social studies testing or already did. I also have a lot of friends in that class like Taylor M., Lena, Christian, Lauren, Emily, and Leanna. Well, that is a typical day for me at Weld Central Middle School. GO REBELS!!

Soccer

481998.jpg (1920×1200)Soccer has to be one of, if not my favorite sport. I used to love basketball way more but there is something about soccer I will miss. I don't know if it is the open air, the running, the way you communicate with your team, or just the rush you get when you get the ball. With basketball I kind of feel like it is to hot, stuffy, or cramped. I love my team so much, and the coaches are great. I will never forget the first time I played my first game at home as a WCMS Rebel. The fans, the wind, the team, the ball, the action.
5pcs-lot-Wall-Decal-Art-Sticker-font-b-Quote-b-font-Vinyl-Wall-Decal-Eat-Sleep.jpg (500×318)At the beginning of the year we had to play soccer inside and it was mostly conditioning. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the soccer season because none of like my best friends were i it, but I love it now. I have made friends with people I might not have even liked. I met and made friends with people that don't even go to the same school as me. Like, Emily, Mckenzie, and Madison from CCA. I also became friends with Jordan, Andrea, Alexia, Marina, and more.
trenirovki.po.futbol.jpg (900×450)Soccer isn't just about who you play with, it is about how hard you try and what decisions you make. If you don't play your hardest, then people will beat you, it is that simple. There may be better people than you, but that doesn't mean you are going to lose. When we played our last soccer game of the 2014/2015 year I was mainly against a very tall girl who was tough. We pulled out the victory, but if I had given up, I would have missed a lot of great opportunties.
6e3169d5f634e5d95047a15f8250ab3c.jpg (236×202)When you are out on the soccer field you have to ignore everything people are shouting at you, except for your coach. You have to get  over the pressure and make a choice. You can pass it, shoot it, dribble it, or kick it out. As a defender you either want to boot it up the field, kick it out of bounds, or get the ball and dribble. As a forward you want to dribble to the goal, shoot, or pass forward. As a mid-fielder (mid) you can choose any option, depending on where you are on the field. I think t is hardest to be a mid because you pretty much play all positions except goalie. You have to run up and down the field, throw it in, and run some more.
38822bab98ed369289ce26b1188cb23d.jpg (236×236)Soccer is a very physical sport where you can get beat up and beat others up. Yes, there are rules to keep us "safe" but they can't save you. Sure you cant shove, but you can use your body. Sure, you can't kick higher then your head, but people still do it. Sure, you can't trip, but some people don't care. At our last game the team played really dirty and would try to litteraly beat you up to get the ball. But, in soccer you have to be tough, that is the only way to score.
Soccer_quotes-8.jpg (1024×768)Even though the soccer season might have ended, that doesn't mean that I will just forget about soccer until next year.
A great person once said "Soccer may not be my profession, but it is my passion." I love that quote because barley any people get to grow up and play a sport they love as a job, but that does't mean you should just ignore the sport. I practice soccer after school in my dad's gym when I wait for him, just like I also practice basketball. I love soccer, not for the fame or glory, but for something else. I love just giving your all and sprinting up and down the field clearing your head from everything, but soccer, until your body is numb. I love forgetting my problems for maybe just a few hours, but they are gone.
soccer.jpg (800×600)Soccer is a lot more complicated than most people think. You do not just kick a ball in a goal, like in football, there are plays and situations where you do certain things. And there are all kinds of crazy rules like you can't kick to high, you can't either of your feet leave the ground when you throw it in, or stuff like that. You also have to run a lot in soccer, our coach told us you have to run about 3 miles an average game! I hope one day I can at least play soccer in college.

Dogs

Dogs

There are a lot of dogs in the world, in some places there are even more dogs than children! Right now I have a yellow lab named Rookie. She is a girl, just thought I would let you know. But there are more types of breeds than just labs. And there are different types and colors of each breed of dog too. There are even dogs that are two or more breeds mixed together! Dogs can be agressive, shy, tall, fluffy, skinny, short, fat, bald, playful, or lazy, just depending on their dog breed or genes. Did you know that  there are over 340 dog breeds in the world?
labrador.jpg (500×330)If you look at the picture to the right you can see three different labrador retrievers. There is a chocolate lab, a yellow lab, and a black lab. They are different colors, but they are the same breed. That is because of their genes and parents. The same breed of dogs can also come from all over he world. For example, my dog is a mix of an English lab and an American lab. Since they are  from different parts of the world the two types of dogs look a little different. As I said earlier, labs are not the only types of dogs in the world.
all-types-of-dogs.jpg (937×625)On the left there is a picture showing a some of the most common dog breeds. No way is that near all of them, though! Some examples of small dogs Pug, Beagles, Boston Terrier, Chihuahua, Dachshund, French Bulldog, and Teacup Poodle. Some examples of medium size dogs are Bulldog, Boxer, Lab, Pumi, Shetland Sheepdog, Shar-Pei, Border Collie, and Dingo. Some large dog breeds are German Shepard, Golden Retrievers, Rottwieler, Alaskan Husky, Doberman Pinscher, Great Danes, and American Bulldogs.  Those are just a few common breeds.
gal1-blk-huskymale.jpg (612×495)Dogs of different breeds can look similar, but they are not the same. This partly has to do with where the dog breed originates. Most huskies are from very cold places where there are many predators and so they have thick fur and are strong. Another example is that a chihuahua comes from a very warm place were there are also predators so they have short fur and have a loud, warning bark. But, a dogs looks are not all about their origin, it also has to do with what work they do.
show-dog-6-jpg.jpg (500×350)All dogs are meant and bred to do different jobs. Some of those jobs include dogs that show looks, dogs that do tricks in show, dogs that herd animals, or help fireman, pull sleighs, or help the disabled. A good show dog is smart, has beautiful fur, and follows its masters instructions. Dogs that are good at herding animals are brave, fast, and powerful. If the dog has to pull a sleigh over the Alaskan tundra it has to have a heavy coat, be strong, and fast. Sometimes dogs are good at a lot.
brown_basset_hound_puppies.jpg (800×532)A lot of dogs have health problems just because of their genes or breed. If two dogs are incorrectly bred the puppies could be white, deaf, blind, or have seizures. Small dogs such as the Basset Hound have more heath problems. Some heath problems weaken the immune system, it can also get a bleeding disorder and glaucoma. Small dogs tend to live longer than big dogs, but they usually have less health problems. There is no type of dog that is immune to health problems, but if you take good care of your dog and take it to a vet, it should be fine.
Some dogs have saved peoples lives, and some save peoples lives everyday. A service dog is a dog that helps people with special needs. They could be deaf, blind, in a wheelchair, or have mental disabilities. Without that dog the person would need someone to help them full time, or they would have to live on their own, and could get injured. I think that service dogs are hero's because they are loyal, and will do almost anything to protect their master. It is really true that dogs are a mans best friend.

Me

net216-2.gif (956×1098)This blog is just going to be about me. In these six paragraphs I can tell you about myself. My likes, dislikes, interests, past, and dreams. I will just start simple, like the 1st day of 3rd grade material. I am only 12 years old (just until August 30). I like light blue, lavender, teal, blue, pale greenish blue, and white, just to name a few colors. But, I like almost all colors, except for brown!! I also like horses, dolphins, pigs, sheep, crabs, and dogs. There are many more things I like, but I do hate a lot of things to.
3f90b98e29b1729bfbe11fec5aafd1bb.jpg (236×319)Lets see here, I can tell you about my dislikes. I think that jelly, jam, preservatives, whatever you want to call it. It is GROSS! I also hate it when people lie to you and you know they are lying, but they won't admit it. Other things that bug me are, mosquito's, laying in dead grass, when my nails are to long, when I can do something, but when I try to show someone I can't do it, and when sticky stuff gets on my phone screen. Those are just a few of the many many things that can make me mad. I have a lot of hobbies, jobs I enjoy, and just regular things that I find fun.
I may not be the type of person who tries everything, or goes skydiving. But I am also not the type to not do anything. I like to play sports because I enjoy them and they keep you in shape. I am currently playing basketball and soccer. I am also running, but not for the school. I am going to do my first 10k, the Boulder Boulder. I also like to draw, even if I may not be very good. Another hobby of mine is to just hang out in my room and watch movies to relax. There are a lot of things about my past you may not have known.
plum-pudding-cheeky-dwarf-hamster-needs-a-home-532d8a7c13526.jpg (1280×958)I am the only girl in the family and I am also the youngest. My oldest brothers name is Brennen and he is 18, my other brothers name is Christopher or Chris and he is almost 16. I do not actually live very close to WCMS. I live in Thornton, but I go here because my dad is a P.E. teacher at Hudson and Lochbuie. I am a former gymnast and cheerleader. I own three hamsters, two crabs, a dog, and a lizard. Finally, I have never died my hair, and only have an ear piercing which I got for my 9th birthday. When I grow up...I want to do many things.  I not only have hopes and dreams, but expectations to.
I am only 12 years old now, but I already am thinking of the future. I want to be a criminal investigator and special agent. It is not princess or dancer, but I really want to do that. I also want to live in a large house, like the one in my dream house post. I want to have 3 kids, one girl and 2 boys. I also want to have horses, barn cats, chickens, goats, pigs, and dogs. I will go to college, probably at the University of Wyoming. I am not sure what else I want to do, but YOLO!
missmecross__62765.1411007484.210.210.jpg (210×158)Now I will just finish up by telling you random facts about me or my family. My dog is a yellow lab, 11 years old, and her name is Rookie. A few of my friends are Carson, Emily B., Caityln, Lexey, Lena, Mckaylynn, Jordan, Alexia, and Lauren. My birthday is August 30, 2002 and I loved the Little Mermaid when I was little. I went to Disney world once when I was about 5 as a family reunion. Oh and i love Miss Me jeans, flip flops, boots, and moccasins. Well if there is stuff about me you still want to know just ask!

Junk Food in Schools?

Most schools do not let kids eat in class. At lunch the meals are as healthy as the cooks can get. But, this could be bad for students. Believe it or not, there are pros to junk food in schools. We all know that it tastes good, but that is just the beginning. Most of the problems from "unhealthy" food happens if you eat it regularly, or often. Our school could let us bring out junk food or serve a little dessert sometimes without making us fat.
ELW_FavoriteJunkFoods-540x360.jpg (540×360)The pros of junk food are not only for kids, but for the whole school. Junk food is quicker to make and is a lot easier to. This way the cooks would have more time preparing other stuff, cleaning, or taking break. Just because the food is quick does not mean it tastes bad, it is he best of both worlds. Also, if you are serving the food for lunch you do not need all of the preservatives and oils that make it have a longer shelf life. You are just serving at lunch at it will not have to be saved for long. Another pro is that it offers a change in routine. The food does not cause problems if it is not to often, like every day.
But there are cons to junk food to. Obesity can be caused by junk food if it is eaten to often or if to much of it is eaten. Unhealthy ingredients are in junk food, such as to much sodium, sugar, dye, oils, or fat. Other health issues are high blood pressure, liver problems, weak immune system, and kidney problems. Sometimes kids do not get all the nutrients they  in junk food. Some tests have shown that it can affect preformance. The sodium or sugar causes a spike of energy making them over-reactive and then a loss of energy follows. Those are the major cons of junk food.
There is a debate in many schools about if junk food should be allowed. Many people don't think it should because of all the cons from the ad ingredients. Almost all if not all of the problems from junk food come if you eat it to much. I am not saying we should have it everyday. We could have school dessert once a week, so we don't eat to much. Junk food is just normal, unless we eat it like more than once a day.
Most of the cons from "unhealthy" food also come when you do not exercise enough. Every kid in school has or has had gym this year. We also have recess almost every day where we exercise outside. We can burn the calories to prevent being fat. Similarly, we will get the exercise we need so we can improve coordination, refresh our brains, and improve on work. A study shows that if you work and then exercise and go back to work you will be smarter.
Last, but not least, junk food is not the only food that can harm you. To much of anything is bad, even fruits or veggetables. Did you know, to much carrots can make you orange! Kids can pick what foods they get in the lunch line. We are forced to get at least one healthy thing, but we don't eat it. Most kids don;t chose a healthy item anyway, so what is the point. The school could make it so you only get junk food if you eat the healthy stuff. There are many solutions to the cons of junk food, so we should be able to have it in school.

Dream House

Dream-House-1.jpg (550×364)
Can you imagine a house fit for royalty? I know I can. A pool the size of the ocean, a backyard as big as the great plains, a kitchen ready to feed an army, a bed as soft as a cloud, and rooms that fulfill my every wish. The hard part is not finding the house you want, it is buying it. But what if you build it instead. Not only could it be cheaper, but you can make it EXACTLY how YOU want.
SH-Model-Home3.jpg (800×600)The pool would be a sight to see. It would not be one of those small ones who could not fit everyone I want to invite for a party. There would also be a hot tub so that I could relax and get warm. Wouldn't it be cool if you could eat while in the pool without a mess. My backward pool would have a bar that can serve anything you want to have. Everyone would want to go down the slide through the waterfall, even if they don't like thrills. Waterfalls to complete the beautiful outdoor scene, in my amazing backyard.
traditional-landscape_big_wallpaper.jpg (1024×682)
If you thought the pool was amazing wait until you saw the backyard. Of course it would be big, but not plain. There would be shrubs and plants instead of a fence. Privacy in style. How would you keep warm, unless there was a fireplace, and there will be. The sitting area will be raised up from the rest of the yard and a stone patio. And there would be a unique fountain system to add a finishing touch.
special-big-kitchens-decoration.jpg (1120×840)After I was done swimming and partying in the yard I will be hungry. Not only does the kitchen have to be beautiful, it has to be functional. All the appliances would be updated and stylish. I would marble marble counter tops, an island, a bar, a dining room, a nice oven and more. It really bothers me when the kitchen is not really open and is dark. Not only do I want my kitchen to have many huge windows, but it will open up to the backyard and/or pool. The appliances, furniture, paint, utensils, and kitchen ware would match. But, it would have personality too, pictures and memories would decorate the room.
There would be many, many rooms in my dream house (mansion). Bedrooms, bathrooms, home movie theater, office, work out room, and that is just the beginning. Each room would be decorated perfectly to match my personality. The bathroom would be spacious and light, with a jet tub and separate shower. The movie theater would be dark with a giant 3-D flat screen and comfortable seats. The bedrooms would have bathrooms in them, an adjustable bed, amazing decor, and balconies. The office would have bean bags, an office chair that massages with matching pillows, a desk, and the new technology. I can already imagine what my dream home will look like, I should probably start saving the money now.

Yourself

If we spend all of our time doing what other people want we will never do what we love. If we try to act like someone we are not we will forget who we really are.  Most people do not listen when they are told to just be them, but they should. Doesn't it get boring being like everyone else? Doesn't it get miserable doing what you don't want to? I am sure it does.
        main-qimg-c971a5710f2d0d7eb661d42bd6797146 (485×273)
For example, I love to play basketball and soccer. If I hung out with someone who hated soccer and I pretended like I did to so they would be my friend, but I would hate not playing soccer!!! Sometimes people even do bad in school because they think it is what the "cool kids" do. It is OK to be YOURSELF!!! We all have a purpose, and if we lose sight of what we want we will probably never see it again. Do you get what I mean?
My cousin once told me something I will never forget. He told me you have to be yourself because every one else is taken. That quote has always been in the back of my mind telling me if I copy someone than I am pretty much not being anyone. One reason that people change is because they want to be popular and have people like you, but if you are you the right people will love the you. You  can find someone like you who will make the same mistakes, like the same things, who may look alike, but they are not YOU!!
funny-Yourself-quotes.png (500×522)        Some people say that they don't like who they are so they act different. That is just an excuse. If you don't like who you are, then change. You will still be you as ling as you are who you want to be. No one else has to live in your body for the rest of your life, but you do. That means that you should decide what to act like because you have to live with it. Are you wondering why you should listen to me? And why you should be unique?
The original is always worth more than a copy. That is true if you are different you will be worth more than if you act just like everyone else. Could you imagine doing something you don't like day after day after day. I can't, I would be bored, tired, miserable, and I would lose my purpose. Maybe your real self is like everyone else, maybe you do like what is popular.  I am not saying that that is not okay, it is because it is you. If you only get one thing out of these 5 paragraphs, I hope it is that you should be who you want to be, yourself.
